*LAS VEGAS — AT&T*, BlackBerry®, singer-songwriter CeeLo Green and hip-hop group Goodie Mob will begin celebrating Black Music Month through the “Elevate Young Black Voices” online talent contest and sweepstakes that gives aspiring singers a chance to win a two-hour private mentoring session, and an opportunity to perform live with the group this June.

AT&T and BlackBerry executives recently joined CeeLo Green and Goodie Mob at Planet Hollywood to celebrate the launch of the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone, and announce their partnership for the contest that encourages aspiring solo artists to upload a video of an original song that is inspiring and motivating to the African-American community to www.att.com/voices.

“This contest is just one of the ways AT&T empowers, honors and gives back to the diverse communities we serve,” says Matt Teshera, Sr. Diversity Marketing Manager – West Region, AT&T. “AT&T and BlackBerry are eager to provide a platform, that with CeeLo and Goodie Mob’s coaching, can honor Black Music Month by helping discover an artist who elevates and edifies the community.”

“BlackBerry believes that with the right technology in the right hands, amazing things can happen,” says Adrian Faull, Vice-President, Channel Marketing. “We’re proud to support a program that can inspire and encourage young African-American artists to pursue their talents, and we look forward to the music that will be created.”

To enter the contest, eligible consumers go to www.att.com/voices, complete the online submission form, and submit a video link of their talent. There will be four grand prize winners – two chosen by CeeLo Green and Goodie Mob, and two selected by popular vote. Each winner will receive round-trip airfare to Los Angeles, a two-hour private mentoring session with CeeLo and Goodie Mob and the opportunity to perform live at the group’s album release party Tuesday, June 18. There will also be one sweepstakes winner chosen at random to receive round-trip airfare to Los Angeles for the winner and a guest, tickets and a meet-and-greet with CeeLo and Goodie Mob at the same June 18 concert.

“I have had the unique opportunity to find and cultivate talent throughout my career, and I am ecstatic that with my Goodie Mob brothers by my side, we are in a position to work with AT&T and BlackBerry to help ‘Elevate Young Black Voices’ through this contest,” said CeeLo Green.

The contest runs through June 3, 2013. No purchase necessary to win. Entrants must reside in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and be 18 or older (19 in AL and NE, 21 in MS). For full rules, eligibility and more, visit www.att.com/voices. Void where prohibited. Consumers may join the conversation on Twitter using #ATTElevateYBV.
