Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus were both rescued by neighbors after missing for nearly a decade, Monday, May 6, 2013.

*Most of your neighbors seem to be normal, right?  They come and go every day to work, school activities for their children, and some have even been quite helpful to you.  But, what if you saw the police raid their home tomorrow as you arrive home from work?

That was the scene Charles Ramsey described to local ABC affiliate Channel 5, after he made a bold rescue at his neighbor’s home in the 2200 block of Seymour Avenue in Cleveland on Monday, May 6, 2013.  He’s lived on the block about a year and never suspected that his neighbor was holding well-publicized missing women in the home against their will.

Amanda Berry had been kidnapped in 2003, at the age of 16 (and turned 17, the next day), Gina DeJesus was also kidnapped, but on her way to elementary school in 2004, at the age of 14, and Michelle Knight, was kidnapped in 2002, and also found inside the home along with a few children. Berry was able to get Ramsey’s attention by kicking and screaming to get out of the house as he sat on his porch, Monday.
