The former boxing champ is about to get his drivers license taken away from him because he can’t or won’t pay … child support of all things.
Here’s the deal. The Georgia Dept. of Human Services has been trying for months to collect from Holyfield after he was ordered to pay over $500,000 in child support for his daughter Emani, but the one-time heavyweight champ just hasn’t done anything to as far as payments are concerned, according to TMZ.
To help him out, a plan was devised for Holyfield to pay just $2,950 per month, but to little avail, because according to court docs, he missed several payments and still owes $327,858.36.
Now things are about to get tougher, because a judge has given the Division of Child Support Services the authority take Holyfield’s driver’s license as an incentive to get him to pay up.
A hearing’s set for August to check up on his progress. We’ll let you know how that turns out or if he even shows.
