*Floyd Mayweather’s ex, Josie Harris has remained quiet about the domestic violence she endured, until now.
The boxer went to jail for two months last summer after attacking his long-term girlfriend on Sept. 9, 2010.
It was a scene in Showtime’s “30 Days in May” documentary that prompted her to finally speak out. The hour-long feature was being used to promote Mayweather’s fight against Robert Guerrero on Saturday.
Though he’s spent time for the crime and Josie has relocated to Valencia, Calif. with their children, the promotional documentary claims that she lied.
In an interview with Yahoo! Sports, the mother decided to give her own testimony of what went down.
“Did he beat me to a pulp?” asked Josie. “No, but I had bruises on my body and contusions and [a] concussion because the hits were to the back of my head. I believe it was planned to do that … because the bruises don’t show.”
During the interview, she produced documents, hospital reports of her injuries, further strengthening her argument.
However, Mayweather’s camp continues to deny her allegations, totally disregarding her abuse.
“This judicial system is really messed up,” said Shantel ‘Miss’ Jackson, Mayweather’s current girlfriend. “How can someone who really didn’t do anything have to suffer a consequence for something of this magnitude? It really does anger me, because how can a lie get so far?”
