In addition to promoting “World War Z,” the couple celebrated her 38th birthday at a romantic dinner at the chic wine restaurant Il Vino in Paris.  The dynamic duo who have six children had a lot to celebrate as she recently underwent three surgeries in which her breasts were removed, and later replaced by implants hopefully resulting in reducing her chances of developing breast cancer from 87 percent to under 5 percent.  Jolie has a family history of cancer having lost her mom and most recently her aunt from the dreaded disease.

The couple said they had been moved by the outpouring of public support that followed her disclosure.  “I have such respect for her,” Pitt said.  “The fact that she would not be frightened of this, what she would have to go through to do this, to take this specter away from our family and ensure that she would be there longer for our family, and the kids … I get very emotional about it.”

The proud husband also applauded his wife’s courage and was thrilled that her decision will help others facing similar medical challenges.  “I did not expect what a tipping point, how much it would mean for others to hear her stories, others that might be wrestling with the same things,” he stated.
