*It started in 2007 as “Jay And Seth Versus The Apocalypse,” a YouTube short featuring Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel as themselves, as if they were roommates during the apocalypse.
Six years later, the short has expanded to a full length film titled, “This is The End,” in theaters June 12, with an expanded cast of more friends playing themselves, including James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and “The Office” star Craig Robinson.
The official plot: Six friends are trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Eventually, they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption.
Also playing themselves in the film are Kevin Hart, David Krumholtz, Jason Segel, Paul Rudd, Martin Starr, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aziz Ansari, Mindy Kaling, Micahel Cera, Emma Watson and Rihanna.
During interviews for the film, Robinson was asked his thoughts on filming with Watson, most famous for her role as Hermione in the “Harry Potter” films, and RiRi.
