*Kevin Hart will play a best-man-for-hire who helps out a socially awkward Josh Gad in a currently untitled comedy for Screen Gems and Miramax, reports

The film follows Jimmy (Hart) who provides best man services for men who don’t have best friends. Groom Doug (Gad) is a socially awkward guy who finds himself without a best man. He makes up not only a best man, but nine groomsmen, and eventually seeks out Jimmy’s help to create his fictional friends.

The project was written by Jeremy Garelick (“The Break-Up,” “Police Academy”) and Jay Lavender (“The Break-Up”), with the former also set to direct.

Hart’s previous film work includes ensemble film “Think Like a Man.” He next will be seen in the concert film “Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain.”
