*Ludacris joined the “Fast and Furious” franchise in 2003 for its John Singleton-directed second installment, “2 Fast 2 Furious.”
A decade later, the rapper, born Christopher Bridges, is back for his third at-bat as Tej Parker following his “Fast Five” return in 2011. In the current sixth effort, “Fast & Furious 6” (he’s also confirmed for “Fast & Furious 7,” due in 2014), the Atlanta rapper gets a lot of laughs in scenes opposite his on- and off-screen homie Tyrese, who plays Roman Pierce.
The plot has Agent Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) summoning Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew to London in order to take on a team of mercenary drivers who have caused havoc across a dozen countries – one of them Dom’s former lover Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), who is supposed to be dead.
As for the film’s main attraction – the cars – Ludacris says the franchise has managed to outdo itself with every film since the 2001 original.
