For instance, in a preview clip of the show, Oprah asks the couple, “The (NY) Post accused you of cheating…” And of course before you can see/hear their response, the video cuts away.
Speaking of the Post, “sources” told the paper’s Page Six gossip column back in May that the crooner cheated on Teigen, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, by lip locking with a young woman at a Manhattan hotspot.
Via Twitter Teigen spoke out for her man and denied the accusations after the Post’s story broke.
Legend and Teigen have moved past the scandal and have set a date to marry after 7 years of courting.
And it just so happens – in another clip – O asks how John Legend knew Chrissy Teigen was the woman he wanted to marry?
OPRAH: What had happened that you had said, okay, I’m ready for the next step? Because you’ve been together for seven years, right?
OPRAH: What was going on?
CHRISSY: These are good questions.
JOHN: I don’t think it was one particular — I don’t think it was one particular moment but I knew I loved her. I knew I could see myself living with her and spending time with her forever. I knew I could envision us having kids together.
And I felt like it was time to propose.
She didn’t pressure me. She didn’t say, you know, it’s time to put a ring on it. It just felt like — I felt like it’s time for us to get married.
OPRAH: Were you thinking, though, Chrissy, it’s time to put a ring on it?
CHRISSY: There were — after year four you got to start wondering like when is this gonna happen? And he’s such a romantic all the time
CHRISSY: Yeah. I think you just lose hope then, maybe I had lost hope (laughter
