*Last week reality star Kenya Moore received a ruling from a Fulton County judge to be evicted from her Georgia home.
The claims were that Kenya failed to adhere to the terms of her lease agreement and the scheduled payments on her six-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion.
However, a source told the Huffington Post’s Black Voices that Moore was not in fact evicted and is actually being subjected to a legal battle between her landlord and the landlord’s ex-husband.
Sources claim that the eviction has no relation to Kenya at all and that she is being painted in a negative light over the couple’s inability to keep their legal battles separate from the home they’re renting to Kenya. The landlord and her ex-husband are currently trying to settle a case regarding support payments and sources say the landlord wants Kenya evicted from the house so that she can proceed in asking for more financial support in the trial.
The husband is saying that his ex-wife is making good money by having Kenya as a tenant. So with that amount of money coming in, he does not want to pay her any additional support.
Sources state that it is the landlord’s intention to have Kenya move out of the house before the court date so that she use a decrease in income as a means to lobby for bigger payments from her ex.
The source also added that Moore never received any notification of last week’s court date and has paid her $3,999 monthly rent in full through June.
Moore’s attorney, Marcia Fuller, attended a hearing on June 20 to set a new court date for early July.
