*Due to the Miss Universe Pageant being held in Moscow, Russia for the first time this year, Andy Cohen won’t be returning as the host.
“Their discriminatory policies make it unsafe for the gays who live there and gays coming to work or visit,” he told his pageant co-host, E!‘s Giuliana Rancic.
After they passed anti-gay laws in June, Russia has been facing much scrutiny from global human rights activists.
“The law is that anyone under suspicion of homosexuality can be arrested,” he said, adding that he “didn’t feel right as a gay man stepping foot into Russia.”
Cohen co-hosted the pageant for two years in a row and now protestors have started a petition asking for the pageant, owned by Donald Trump, to pull out of holding it in Russia.
*Wednesday Jennifer Hudson was in her Chicago hometown to give away school supplies to thousands of school kids.
In order to gather enough supplies for 5,000 children, her sister, Julia Hudson spends hours searching.
“7,000 folders, paper, 5,000 packages of pencils, pens,” she listed. “Calculators, USB drives!” chimed in her famous sister Jennifer.
The pair started Hatch Day in honor of their slain family members: their mother and Julia’s son, Julian.
