babyface*Next weekend, after the dust has settled on Martha’s Vineyard post President Obama’s family vacation, “ON THE VINE,” featuring a phenomenal lineup of talent, presenting R&B and jazz, a soulful evening in classic black concert, will bring together the who’s who living and vacationing on the island for a fundraiser with a purpose: to raise funds for kidney research.

THE THREE DAYS of entertainment opens with music legend, Motown great Smokey Robinson. Smokey’s vocals create high appeal for the ON THE VINE benefit. Partnered with Smokey for a very special opening performance is Angie Stone. The R&B and soul artist is a singer-songwriter and producer; she has a big sound ON THE VINE is proud to Showcase.
The opening evening is hosted by funny man Tony Roberts.

Project Jam is a fusion experience with LIVE JAZZ and R&B, featuring jazz percussionist great Dr. Kahil El’Zabar with a stellar, well accomplished Chicago band featuring New York trumpeter Maurice Brown. It is a free late night jam session featuring local and visiting music talent on the island.

A Classic Black Evening , our “Linen and Love” Concert benefit features kidney disease survivor nine-time Grammy Award winner singer, songwriter and performer Natalie Cole.
Featured performances: evening host and comedian Tony Roberts, Grammy Award violinist Miri Ben-Ari, and multiple Grammy Award winner producer, songwriter, musician, and performer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.
