“Cinderoncé “is the musical adaptation of Cinderella, set to the music of Beyoncé.
Oh, you didn’t know?
The YouTube production gives the Disney classic a Sasha Fierce makeover. Cinderoncé gets a “Freakum Dress” makeover courtesy of her fairy drag mother Shangella from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and single ladies dance to “Single Ladies” at the ball.
An E! Online staffer said, “I got chills when he put the glass slipper on and ‘Love on Top’ started *tear*”
“Cinderoncé” is a product of former “American Idol” finalist and YouTube personality Todrick Hall. And if the video was not so well done it would probably be easy to brush the mini-musical off as just another YouTube parody. But Queen Bey’s songs all fit in the story and the spectacle of it all is rather impressive.
Last year, Todrick Hall created “CinderFella “which was another musical adaptation of the Cinderella story but with a gay twist. If you liked that one, you’ll probably like this one too.
