*Actress-singer-songwriter Erica Gimpel (“Fame,” “Nikita,” “True Blood”) was thrilled to return to the Lineage Performing Arts Center in Pasadena, California recently for an intimate concert benefiting ~ 1736 Family Crisis Center ~ Helping families rebuild and thrive!
Gimpel performed with her amazing band which includes Don Littleton, Ringo Maestro, Artyom Manukyan, LouisVan Taylor, (saxophonist for Boyz II Men) and Kevin O’Neal.
Erica performed “Spread Your Wings” (her anthem to women) which is featured in the upcoming indie film “Hill and Gully” and “Love Will Come Back to Me” featured performances by Lineage Dance.
Gimpel has already proven herself multi-talented in many areas, including acting and musical theater, but she is now spreading her wings and showing her singing and songwriting talent as well.
Gimpel’s big break came as a result of her performance as singer/dancer “Coco Hernandez” on the hit TV series FAME. Since then she has shown her acting talent in various award-winning TV shows, including “Nikita,” “Criminal Minds,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “House,” “Rizzoli and Isles,” “ER,” “Veronica Mars,” and most recently “True Blood.”
She may be new to the music scene, but it is already evident that Gimpel has a gift for music as well as acting. Gimpel will be performing in New York August 9th at Stage 72/Triad.
Her new CD “Spread Your Wings” has already skyrocketed, becoming one of CDBABY’s top Jazz/Pop albums. One of the hits from that album, already become an anthem to women, will soon be Featured in the “Hill and Gully” indie film.
Gimpel’s dedication to helping others influenced her to use her talent for the betterment of society. A percentage of the proceeds from her Lineage Performing Arts Center show went toward the non-profit, 1736 Family Crisis Center, an organization that Gimpel holds near to her heart.
