*Homeland star Damian Lewis says Jay Z has upped his street cred by dropping the name of his character in a track from his new album.

The rapper mentions Lewis in “F.U.T.W.,” a track from “Magna Carta… Holy Grail,” in which he spits, “Feel like a stranger in my own land/ Got me feeling like Brody in Homeland.” [Listen below.]

Lewis, who plays prisoner of war-turned-Congressman Nicholas Brody in the hit drama series, told Esquire magazine of the name check: “It’s one of the coolest things that’s ever happened to me. My natural habitat is quite a long way from, you know, a gangster rapper. So the fact I’ve somehow straddled popular culture to find myself name-checked (is great).”
