*Iman, Naomi Campbell and Bethann Hardison have joined forces to officially call out the modeling industry over its lack of diversity on magazine covers and catwalks.

The trio has sent letters to the major councils of fashion designers in New York, London, Paris and Milan, listing every designer who uses just one or no models of color in their runway shows, branding them “racist acts.”

During an interview on” Good Morning America” Monday, Iman said, “This is not the business of shaming. As we go back again to clear a fight, nobody is calling any of these designers racist. The act itself is racism.”

Iman, who has been modeling since the 1970s, explains there was more diversity decades ago than there is now.

“There is a time when silence is not acceptable at all and if the conversation cannot be had publicly in our industry, there is inherently something wrong with the industry,” she said.
