50 cent

*50 Cent has been sentenced to probation and 30 days of community service after striking a plea deal to avoid jail time in his domestic violence case.

The rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, was hit with one count of misdemeanor domestic violence and four of misdemeanor vandalism following a heated dispute with his ex, model Daphne Joy, in June. He was accused of kicking her and causing $7,100 in property damage.

He initially faced up to five years behind bars after pleading not guilty to the allegations, but managed to work out a deal with prosecutors to keep him out of jail and instead pleaded no contest to one count of misdemeanor vandalism on Monday (Oct. 28).

He was ordered to serve three years probation and perform community service, while he must also attend counseling sessions and pay $7,100 in restitution to Joy.

In exchange, California authorities agreed to drop the domestic violence charge, according to TMZ.

A previous restraining order banning 50 Cent from contacting Joy will remain in place.
