David G. Brown, author and cartoonist will be featured at the Central Avenue Book Festival

WHAT:        The  Central Avenue Book Festival will celebrate new and popular authors with day-long activities to include book-signings, readings, discussions, wine-tasting, food, arts & crafts, vendors and more!

WHO:           The Festival is excited to welcome authors including George Fraser, Martha Tucker, Eloise Laws, David G. Brown, Dr. Kwaku Person-Lynn, Darryl James, Angela Meryl, Bill Overton, Dr. Nicoline Ambe, Valerie Jackson, Gil Robertson, Valerie Goodloe, Tracy Brooks, Dr. Firpo Carr, LaShirl Smith, Rev. Alfreda Lanoix, Rickey Teems and more! Wine-tasting by Zuri Wines.  Synthia St. James art exhibit and craft vendors.

The Festival will honor local author Eric Jerome Dickey for literary excellence that includes characters and content specific to greater Los Angeles; Picolo Lewis (Picolo Books) for his community service and programs; and Josefa Salinas as the newly appointed Library Commissioner for the City of Los Angeles.
