*On Monday in Hartford, CT, Hugh Douglas a former NFL player (defensive end) has pleaded not guilty to charges he assaulted his girlfriend at hotel in that city.
Douglas’ attorney, Corey Brinson, entered the plea to charges of felony assault and strangulation in Hartford Superior Court.
The bottom line is the judge ordered former athlete’s GPS monitoring device removed. Douglas, 42, who lives in Bryn Mawr, Pa., must tell his lawyer when he returns to Connecticut and the lawyer must inform prosecutors.
A police report says Douglas’ girlfriend alleged he grabbed her by her throat and slammed her into the walls while carrying her to their hotel room. According to police, Douglas said the marks on her neck were from rough sex.

*Venus Williams has done something really nice for her mother, Oracene. She gifted her Jupiter, Florida mansion to her.
Back in 2000, Williams paid $310,000 for the four-bedroom home and according to documents, Williams turned the deed over to her mother in September. Oracene only paid $10 to complete the transaction.
*Kanye West kicked off his highly anticipated Yeezus tour in Seattle. but, for some still unexplained reason, the show’s second night in Vancouver was canceled.
It’s now been rescheduled for October 31st. Interestingly, the same thing happened to Drake. He cancelled the second night of his tour as well.
