*Echo Kellum begins his second series in as many years in Thursday’s premiere of “Sean Saves the World.”
The comedy marks the return of “Will and Grace” alum Sean Hayes to NBC. This time, he plays a divorced gay father whose demanding career is thrown asunder when his 14-year-old daughter Ellie (Samantha Isler) moves in with him full-time. Suddenly, he has to juggle his work life and his pushy mother (Linda Lavin) with an insanely competitive drive to be the best father ever.
Kellum, last seen in Fox’s short-lived 2012 comedy “Ben and Kate,” plays Sean’s friend and co-worker Hunter, who gets swept up in Sean’s obsession with being the perfect parent.
