*Longtime Columbus Ohio sports anchor Dom Tiberi lost his 21-year-old daughter earlier this month in a deadly car accident. And when he returned to work this weekend to cover the Ohio State Buckeyes’ victory over the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he got an unexpected outpouring of emotional support from his home team.
WBNS’ cameras caught Tiberi’s reaction as nearly every member of the team stopped to hug him on their way from the field to the locker room, reports Mediate.
“Whoa, that was amazing,” a visibly shaken Tiberi said after the onslaught of hugs.
At an earlier game just after the death of his daughter, who was a student at OSU, 100,000 Buckeye fans stood for a moment of silence in her honor.
