*HBO’s David Milch drama is adding a “Homeland” star to its ranks.
David Harewood has joined the cast of Milch’s “The Money” pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
“The Money” revolves around James Castman (Brendan Gleeson), a powerful media mogul who wields power and influence to expand his empire and control his family.
Nathan Lane plays Gordon, a reporter for VistaCorp’s New York Herald who is desperate to garner evidence for a hot story.
Harewood, who played Carrie (Claire Danes) and Saul’s (Mandy Patinkin) CIA boss on Showtime’s “Homeland,” will play Kurt Corbitt, a grandiose, boisterous, irascible ideologue and the CEO of the parent company to Castman’s holdings.
British actor Harewood most recently reunited with “Homeland’s” Howard Gordon, Alex Cary and Alex Gansa’s CBS pilot “Anatomy of Violence.” The drama did not move forward.
Harewood’s credits also include features “Blood Diamond,” “The Merchant of Venice” and “Strings.”
