*NBC’s midseason drama “Believe” has recruited “Without a Trace” alum Marianne Jean-Baptiste for a recurring role, according to TVGuide.com.

In “Believe,” an unlikely relationship develops between a young girl named Bo (Johnny Sequoyah) with a gift and her father Tate (Jake McLaughlin) when he’s sprung from prison and tasked with protecting her from the evildoers who covet her power.

The Oscar-nominated British actress will play CIA Deputy Director Brandice Comstock, a dangerous political lifer who is aligned with the series’ villain Roman Skouras (Kyle MacLachlan) in a conspiracy to capture and exploit Bo.

A premiere date for “Believe” has yet to be announced, but will premiere this midseason on NBC.
