*Rapper Chief Keef has dodged further legal troubles by handing over just enough child support money to keep him out of jail.
The 18-year-old was hauled before a judge in October after he was accused of failing to pay a court-ordered $2,600-a-month sum to an unnamed teenage mother who claimed the rapper had fathered her daughter.
A judge offered Chief Keef – real name Keith Cozart – the chance to escape further action by handing over a check for $11,000, which the star accepted. According to TMZ, he owes a total of $20,900. Keef is due back in court in December.
It’s the latest round of legal woes for Cozart, who is heading to rehab for 90 days for violating his probation by testing positive for marijuana. He was ordered to stay sober after pleading guilty to a charge of speeding following an arrest in May.
