*Uh huh, no surprise here.
Girlfriend has hired a publicist to “clarify what she meant” when she outright threatened TLC member, Chilli, on her recent talk show radio program. And that scary picture of her in the process cemented it.
Oops! That wasn’t a good word to use. You’ll see why.
Ashley Reid (also daughter of super producer, L.A. Reid) took to her Twitter account to defend her mother, former TLC manager Perri “Pebbles” Reid, who was being dragged unmercifully on Twitter for an unkind portrayal of her in the TLC biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.
In the attempt to defend her mother, Ashley went on a verbal rampage against the TLC member, regurgitating the long-rumored subject that Chilli slept with her dad while he was still married to her mother, Pebbles. Ooh it was ugly and vile, Ashley’s rant, and she spared no verbal expense letting Chilli know exactly what she would do when she saw her.
But now she has calmed down, taken a prettier picture …
The publicist writes:
Being tactlessly defensive is a choice, and may not be the most effective. It was my choice. Violence is not what I represent. For those that know me, either personally, through my weekly radio talk show, or my art–they know that I am a passionate person with no filter, that what I said was in anger.
In anger, many things are said out of intense emotion. The same applies to a desperate attempt to threaten credibility, defame, and villianies (sic) someone’s character in order to generate publicity. That was TLC’s choice. My voice is my own and is not reflective of my mother’s opinion. Despite the lies and slander depicted in the movie and over the past 20 years, my mother loves TLC and always has.
Ashley, a photographer and blogger by trade, ended the PR statement with this: “Under no circumstances will I ever apologize for defending the people I love and what I know is right.”
Can you spell A-N-G-E-R- M-A-N-A-G-E-M-E-N-T C-L-A-S-S-E-S?
