*The honors just keep coming for director Steve McQueen’s “12 Years a Slave.”

The film just earned six nominations from the Vancouver Film Critics Circle, whose 14th annual awards show will take place Jan. 7 in Vancouver.

The drama will compete for best film, director and screenplay, while star Chiwetel Ejiofor will vie for best actor against “Inside Llewyn Davis’” Oscar Isaac and “Dallas Buyers Club’s” Matthew McConaughey; and McQueen will face “Gravity” helmer Alfonso Cuaron and the “Inside Llewyn Davis’” Coen Brothers in the best director category.

The best actress nominees are “Gravity’s” Sandra Bullock, “Blue Jasmine’s” Cate Blanchett and “Frances Ha’s” Greta Gerwig.
