It so happens that the first Black president of the United States Barack Obama spoke on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the site of King’s address watched by 250,000 people on 28 August, 1963.
Barak Obama began his second term in office in the same year of the anniversary of the speech, not only as first Black president
but also the first re-elected Black president of the United States with national issues and global issues on his agenda.
