New York online media conglomerate InterActiveCorp released a statement that said they have “parted ways” with one of their public relations executives after she posted this on her Twitter account: “Going to Africa. Hope I don’t get AIDS. Just kidding. I’m white!”
The message came from the account of Justine Sacco, the communications director for the agency, who was on an international flight to Africa on Friday.
Apparently Sacco never saw it coming.
