After Fox News’ Megyn Kelly got all kinds of incoming fire for her stupid, racist comments about Santa Claus and Jesus being white, she’s now says that she has become a victim to a bunch of “race-baiting” by haters who couldn’t take a joke.
She said that her telling “kids” that Santa “just is white” was a “tongue-in-cheek” was her way of attempting to inject humor into the situation.
“Humor is what we try to bring to this show, but that’s lost on the humorless,” Kelly said on “The Kelly File.”
Then she adds:
“This would be funny if it were not so telling about our society, in particular, the knee-jerk instinct by so many to race-bait and to assume the worst in people, especially people employed by the very powerful Fox News Channel.”
Yeah, right. As you can imagine many see right through her weak response. Check out a few comments about her rejoinder.
What amazes me is that she was able to admit that that topic is still unsettled. That’s about as close to a mea culpa as you’ll ever see from Megyn Kelly.
Made a fool of herself, got called out on it, desperately compounded her foolishness with a transparent lie, and in the process essentially said that she believes that her audience is too stupid to see through her. She’s stupid and dishonest, and is completely unaware that other people are smarter and more honest than she is.
Plus she tries to play the “I’m being persecuted!!!” card, which is pretty typical when someone is called out for being an idiot.
Oh, by the way, for good measure, though, she acknowledged that she was in the wrong when it came to Jesus’ whiteness.
