*It only lasted a few seconds, but “Good Morning America” co-hosts Robin Roberts and Josh Elliott crossed paths with the Pope in Vatican City this morning…and even managed to exchange a few words.
The pair jetted to Rome after Monday’s “GMA” to be in place for Pope Francis’s weekly audience in Vatican City this morning. They waited their turn as the Pope greeted pilgrims in the Square.
Then it happened.
Responding to the Pope’s prayer request, Roberts told Pope Francis she prays for him every day. Elliott broke out the Italian, then told the first-ever Jesuit Pope, “I’m a Jesuit boy. I went to Jesuit High School.” Elliott graduated from Loyola High School in Los Angeles.
Much of the visit was arranged by Greg Burke, the former Fox News correspondent who is now part of the Vatican communications staff.
