The twisted, psychological thriller “The Last Letter” is coming out on DVD. Image Entertainment will release the movie on December 17th.

Sharon Leal (Dreamgirls) and Omari Hardwick (Sparkle) lead the Paul D. Hannah (The Redemption of a Dog, The Marriage Chronicles) directed thriller.

“African American films have long been forced to live in a box and rarely allowed to tread in other genres such as psychological thrillers, horrors or suspense,” says Hannah.

the last letter movie“The Last Letter” is an intriguing tale of newlyweds who are lovers in the purest sense, although one harbors a dark secret born from an ominous past.

Raised in a foster home, Catherine (Leal) is a romantic, misguided young woman, devastated by a crippling sleep disorder that blurs nightmare and reality and becomes the instrument of her own undoing.

Michael (Hardwick) carries the weight of the real world and is forced to find a way to reach his wife and help protect her from herself and their child.

the last letter movieThe couple’s marriage is also threatened by Michael’s disapproving mother (Lynn Whitfield, The Josephine Baker Story). And when a terrifying incident from Catherine’s past returns to haunt her, she turns to her foster brother and closest confidant, George (Gary Dourdan, CSI), who vows they will stick together … no matter what!

“The Last Letter” also stars Richard T. Jones (Why Did I Get Married?), Tatyana Ali (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Bill Cobbs (The Bodyguard), Rocsi Diaz (106 &Park/E! News), and Darrin Henson (Single Ladies).
