*Actor Anthony Anderson will join “Tomorrow People” actress Peyton List in “Supreme Ruler,” an indie feature marking the directorial debut of Duane Edwards.
The story follows a small-town man (Ron Livingston) who dreams of becoming “Supreme Ruler” of his local Buffalo Lodge, but is challenged by a hard-drinking womanizer (Vincent D’Onofrio). The two adversaries are forced to travel to the Buffalo National Convention in Chicago in order to win the support of the organization’s national leaders.
Anderson, who recently hosted the “Soul Train Awards,” will play a good friend of Livingston’s character. He’s a special aid counselor who runs an institute for children with special needs on the South side of Crater, Ill.
Natalie Zea, Marcia Gay Harden and Brian Geraghty round out the cast.
List – who stars as Cara on The CW’s “Tomorrow People” and as Jane Sterling on AMC’s “Mad Men” – will play Geraghty’s pregnant young wife who is eager to settle into the new community.
