*John Boyega, the British actor tapped to play Jesse Owens in the upcoming biopic “Race,” will also have a recurring arc in Fox’s limited revival of “24,” reports Variety.

Premiering May 5, “24: Live Another Day” is the next chapter in the “24” franchise, from 20th TV, Imagine TV and Teakwood Lane. It picks up four years after the series finale, which left Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) as a fugitive in London.

At the recent TCA press tour, Sutherland spoke candidly about his fears as an actor in returning to Jack Bauer after nearly a decade away.

Stephen Fry was recently tapped to play the British Prime Minister in “24: Live Another Day,” while returning characters so far include Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub), Audrey (Kim Raver) and James Heller who is now President Heller (William Devane).

Boyega, perhaps best known for playing Moses in the 2011 British monster movie “Attack the Block,” also starred in “Imperial Dreams,” which just had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
