Despite rumors floating of J-Hud reigniting a feud with the former Destiny’s Child lead singer, Hudson squashed the talk herself on Twitter by denying any conflict with Beyoncé.
“If you took my general comment and YOU singled out someone to apply it to, then that would mean that’s how u feel. Not me,” Hudson tweeted Monday after Beyoncé’s fans came to Twitter to defend the honor of their favorite artist.
Hudson’s response comes a few days after she weighed in on whom she thought was overrated in the music industry during an interview with The Huffington Post. Although she didn’t mention Beyoncé’s name, the “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)” singer dropped as she made it known that sexual lyrics are getting kinda old.
“Singing about the same old things in music is overrated,” Hudson told the Post. “Sex, drinkin’, the club. Okay, especially sex. Like, we grownups; we ain’t got over that, like, really? Ain’t you too old for that kind of thing? Can you talk about something else. I get annoyed with those things.”
Hudson’s denial comes years after she threw darts at Beyoncé in 2011when speaking on who like to show off their bodies .
“I won’t be taking my clothes off, no way at all. Beyoncé and Rihanna can have that,” Hudson told Daily Mail that year. “That’s just not me.”
Hudson later clarified her comments, as she tweeted “I love both [Beyoncé] n rihanna,” she tweeted back then. “I hate when people try to be messy. B n ri know me better than that.”
With the new comments, fans, including began speculating as to who the comments were directed towards. Wendy Williams echoed what many were thinking as she reasoned that beyonce was the person in question mentioned.
“I’ve already judged. She’s talking about Beyoncé in my head,” the daytime talk show host said.
