*How dare Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour put “Girls” star Lena Dunham on the cover and repeatedly turn down his fiancé Kim Kardashian. This is sentiment RadarOnline claimed Kanye West had when he reportedly confronted Wintour about the mag’s February cover.
Turns out, the story was very “untrue,” according to Gossip Cop, quoting a Vogue “insider.”
RadarOnline had claimed that West was so outraged about Dunham being on the cover that he “demanded answers” from Wintour while at lunch at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge.
A source claimed that West confronted Wintour and insisted that his fiancee is “just as talented as Lena, if not more so.” The insider reveals that West believes Kardashian has a much larger fan base than Dunham, and finds it “insulting” that Wintour is still refusing to make her a Vogue cover girl.
Lending credence to the false story were comments Ye made in the past regarding Kim’s snub.
“[When] I took [Kim] to the Met Ball and they put [photos] up on Vogue.com and tried to say she wasn’t there because they didn’t want a reality show girl there,” West complained to Ryan Seacrest in October. “And there’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like every day … and collectively we’re the most influential with clothing.”
