The two’s divorce was finalized in December and oh boy, wasn’t it a messy one.
But those days are long gone for the reality star.
“When you go through any type of relationship that ends bad, it takes something from you, and you have to get it back and what you’ve lost is a piece of yourself. For me, I feel like I’ve gotten back to being completely Porsha…Porsha Williams that is,” she told Bethenny Frankel.
“RHOA” viewers watched as Williams’ marriage unraveled on the show — during she says she lost so much of herself, there was little left.
“The more that you push for a relationship or your family to work, you’re giving so much of yourself, you forget about you. I forgot about things that make me happy or even demanding happiness from somebody,” said Williams who learned she had to make herself a priority.
She realized something wasn’t right with her marriage and started with herself in order to address their issues.
“I have to love me more than I loved him. Once that happened, I realized that my needs, my wants, my dreams were more important than anybody else, and it’s okay to little selfish sometimes,” she said.
Rumors are circulating she’s moved on too, which would make sense for her to be happy for Stewart and his rumored romance with Towanda Braxton. But who she dates for now on will recognize a woman’s worth.
“I’m realizing my worth. My next relationship, he better recognize what I’m worth,” she said. “I feel like I have a new beginning and it’s just great, and I’m just enjoying it.”
