*“I’m glad to be here because I love critics.”

This is what Sarah Palin said with a straight face this morning during the Sportsman Channel’s presentation at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena.

“And you know how much I love the media,” she continued. “So a room full of media and television critics together? I can’t beat this combination.”

She didn’t bust out the wink, but the former governor of Alaska went on to plug her new show on the network, “Amazing America with Sarah Palin,” a series that will feature people across the U.S. who are connected to the outdoor lifestyle.

And by outdoor lifestyle, she means experiences similar to her own Alaska lifestyle…of ice fishing, snow machine rides and manual ice augers.   Listen below as she invited TCA critics to experience it first-hand at her at home.

Shortly after Palin’s panel was the MTV 2 Comedy Panel with Nick Cannon of “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out,” Charlamagne the God of “Charlamagne and Friends” and Carly Aquilino and Lil Duval of “Ain’t that America with Lil Duval.” All return for new seasons on Jan. 15.

“Ain’t that America with Lil Duval,” a show billed as “exploring America’s biggest cultural traditions through outlandish viral videos,” is currently the highest-rated original series in MTV2 history following its 2013 debut.

So of course, the first question to Duval had to be – how is his America different from the moose chilli-filled America that Palin just presented?

Listen to his answer below.
