*The day after Richard Sherman’s now infamous rant to Erin Andrews following his Seattle Seahawks victory over the San Francisco 49’ers, the NFL cornerback took to Twitter to respond to the horrific racist feedback leveled at him for his conduct during the post-game interview.
Media sources report that Sherman was fully aware of the racist tweets (scroll down to read them) that filled his Twitter feed after his interview.
As a result, the athlete used the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday to respond to the comments.
“Last night shows that racism is still alive and well… And that’s so sad…. At Least some people respect MLKs dream,” Sherman tweeted from his official Twitter account Monday morning.
If you somehow haven’t seen it yet, here’s Sherman’s now infamous rant about Michael Crabtree:
Sherman’s response comes as Twitter exploded Sunday night when sports fans expressed exactly how they felt about the Seahawks cornerback, who spoke to Andrews minutes after secured Seattle’s Super Bowl spot by breaking up a pass into the end zone from Colin Kaepernick to Michael Crabtree.

Even Tom Brady weighed in on Sherman as he took jabs at the cornerback during his weekly appearance on the “Dennis & Callahan” radio show on Monday, referring to Sherman as “that kind of guy.” Per the New England Sports Network (NESN), the New England Patriots quarterback issued the following response when asked about Sherman:
“I don’t know him at all,” Brady said when asked about the postgame explosion. “I’ve watched him play. He’s that kind of guy. So, you know. I approach the game — and I have respect for my opponents. That’s the way our team always plays. We win with graciousness, and when we lose, we could do better. Some teams don’t always do that, or that’s not their program. The only way to counter that is to beat them,” Brady said. “When you don’t win, it’s hard not to say — you just gotta shut your mouth and listen to it,” Brady continued. “Maybe when you get an opportunity down the road, maybe that’s a source of motivation. But they got a good team. They played well all year. They played well at home. And that’s why they advanced, too.”

Richard Sherman. What a role model for today’s Taliban youth.
