*Letting people grieve is the nice thing to do, but LeVar Burton doesn’t think so.
The “Star Trek” actor tweeted a few unsympathetic things about Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s death.
And he’s under fire with critics and fans of the late actor for his insensitive tweets.
Suicide is no joking matter.
“Damn, #PSH was SO talented! However, if Y’all should find me dead with a needle in my arm, in my underwear . . . please put my pants on!”
Burton tweeted on the same day of Hoffman’s body being found last Sunday — wasting no time to tweet his opinion.
And a follower fired back with, “not cool, dude.”
And of course in true Twitter fashion, he replied to the follower.
“Not cool is shooting up when you got kids…#areyoukiddingme,” he tweeted.
Burton continued with, “No matter how you slice it, PSH wasted a great gift!” the actor added. “Lash out at me if you want to…I ain’t goin’ out like that!”
Many feel right now is not the right time express opinions on yet another star losing their life to an overdose.
The investigation into the apparent suicide is one with a gritty findings. 65 bags of heroin were found in his apartment.
The actor was clean for 23 years before relapsing in 2013. Arrests are to be made in connection with Hoffman’s heroin in his apartment.
