*Todd Tucker’s relationship with fiancée Kandi Burruss has always kept “Real Housewives of Atlanta” viewers involved. And Sunday’s episode was no different as questions were raised as far as if Todd really meant what he said.
“Everyone has a breaking point,” Todd recently told the co-hosts of “The View.”
As RHOA fans can tell you, Kandi’s mother Mama Joyce was not exactly thrilled about her daughter marrying Tucker. So much so that she had no problem airing out her opinions of him as she believed Todd was an opportunist and the wrong man for Kandi.
“When I met him he seemed like a very nice person, but what I had a problem with is that after his first job, he took like two months off. I come from a family of men that worked. I had a problem with that,” Mama Joyce explained.
Nevertheless, even Mama Joyce wasn’t able stop the power of love. Todd, who previously worked on “RHOA,” explained that after meeting Kandi he quit his job and he’s now primarily a freelance employee.
“When me and Kandi fell in love and we decided we were going to move forward with this relationship, I gave up my job,” said former RHOA worker. “This is the first time I’ve gone without work.”
Although she loved him, Kandi’s role as frequent mediator between her mother and Todd was often a stressful and insulting one that occasionally took its toll on her.
“You treat me like I am so stupid and I have no sense of responsibility and I don’t think that’s fair,” Kandi told her mom. It’s very frustrating.”
Despite her promise to stay out of Kandi and Todd’s relationship going forward, it wouldn’t be Mama Joyce of she still didn’t have concerns. Especially for her granddaughter, who, according to Todd, is also feeling the effects of the strain between him and Mama Joyce.
Apparently the strain was also getting to Todd, who admitted that the young girl was bothered when he mentioned that he might end their romance.
“That was just my frustration,” he said.
