*An investigation has been launched in the UK after Beyonce’s regular helicopter rides to and from an estate prompted noise complaints from neighbors.
The singer often stays at the luxurious Burley estate in Hampshire, England when she is visiting Britain and travels gets to and from the property by helicopter. Noise from the aircraft has incensed other residents and prompted a flurry of complaints to the police.
Local resident Helen Carlile tells Britain’s The Independent newspaper, “It’s often late at night and very noisy. They seem to come in very low… She (Beyonce) was staying at the estate for a while and obviously on tour, so she was in and out every night… Other celebrities are believed to come in, but Beyonce is the one we’re most aware of.”
Officials have launched an investigation into the complaints and they are looking into whether the estate’s owner, U.S. businessman Noam Gottesman, has permission to run a helipad at the site.
A spokesman for the council says, “No planning permission has been granted for a permanent helipad on the land. We have visited the site and met with the owners’ representatives and the enforcement case remains open.”
