Isaiah Washington*To say that Isaiah Washington is pumped for his return to “Grey’s Anatomy” may be an understatement.

The actor, who currently stars on The CW’s new series “The 100,” offered a hint on how ‘Grey’s” fans will react to the upcoming episode featuring him while speaking to “Access Hollywood Live.”

“I read the script last night…. The script is so amazing, it will blow you away,” the actor told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover while giving the show’s creator her props. “Shonda Rimes is genius. I’m unbelievably humble and over the moon with what I read last night.”

Washington’s return to “Grey’s Anatomy comes years after he left the series in 2007 following his use of an anti-gay epithet directed toward his co-star T.R. Knight. Onscreen, Washington’s character, Dr. Preston Burke, left Dr. Cristina Yang, played by Sandra Oh, at the alter as they were about to married.

Washington’s return episode, which is tied to Oh’s exit from “Grey’s” will not be a blink and you miss it moment. According to the actor, it will have a lasting effect.

“I had to stop and say, ‘OK, now what? What is the world going to do after this?'” he said. “It’s going to blow you away!”
