*President Barack Obama’s interview with Zach Galifianakis led to a spike in traffic to HealthCare.gov on Tuesday, according to the White House.
As of 1 p.m. ET Tuesday, the website had racked up more than 19,000 referral visits from Obama’s appearance on the “Hangover” star’s online show “Between Two Ferns,” which was posted around 7 a.m., Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services spokesman Aaron Albright said.
POTUS appeared on the site to reach out to young adults, whose participation in the health care system is crucial to its success.
After a string of awkward questions, Obama was able to pitch the Affordable Care Act to viewers, urging young people to sign up by the March 31 deadline.
