*April 5 will be a very good day for Pharell Williams.
Not only will the rapper/producer celebrate his 41st birthday, he will also visit 30 Rock to perform on Saturday Night Live.
SNL broke the news itself on Twitter Wednesday as it announced that actress Anna Kendrick will be the host for that episode.

News of Pharrell’s SNL appearance, which is expected to include a performance of his hit “Happy,” carries a special meaning. It was during a commercial break last year for SNL that Williams and Daft Punk debuted their Grammy-winning hit collaboration “Get Lucky.” The N.E.R.D. member’s last appearance on SNL was in 2006, according to IMDB.com.
As Pharrell gears up for a memorable birthday, Ashanti is reminding fans that she’s more than just your average singer.
Media sources report that the “Foolish” entertainer covered Chaka Khan’s classic “Sweet Thing” during her “Off the Record” studio session with The Boombox.
“Just going back to the whole movement of being brave, sometimes you have to remind people [what you can do.],“ she explained.
