*Chris Brown, according to TMZ, was just picked up by federal marshals in Los Angeles to board a flight to DC for his assault hearing…and the flight has multiple stops, to say the least.
Sources connected with the case tell the website that Breezy is en route to a federal holding facility in San Bernardino to board an airplane that has so many stops along the way that it probably won’t arrive until Sunday.
The flights all go through Oklahoma, with stops along the way to pick up other prisoners. — guarded by U.S. Marshals and appropriately restrained.
The singer and his bodyguard are accused of hitting a man outside a Washington hotel in October.
Brown is due in DC for a hearing Monday where his lawyer, Mark Geragos, will try to get the charges dismissed because he believes prosecutors inappropriately used the grand jury to gain an unfair advantage in the criminal case.
If Geragos loses, Chris will sit in a D.C. jail facility until his D.C. trial begins on April 17.
Meanwhile, a judge in Los Angeles sent Brown to jail in mid-March after the singer was dismissed from a court-mandated rehab program for anger management and other issues.
Geragos had been trying to block Brown’s transfer into marshals’ custody, arguing it would deprive him of the opportunity to properly prepare for the DC trial.
A hearing on the motion had been scheduled for today but was canceled.
Geragos wrote in an email that the marshals service took Brown into custody just hours after the lawyer filed the motion on Tuesday.
