*Danny Glover has climbed aboard Paramount’s next franchise hopeful “Monster Trucks,” an action film marking the live-action debut of “Ice Age” and “Epic” helmer Chris Wedge.
The movie’s plot details are being kept very quiet, but it’s being described as having a Transformers-meets-Gremlins vibe, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Frank Whaley, Amy Ryan and Holt McCallany are in the cast, with a deal in place for “X-Men” up-and-comer Lucas Till in the starring role of a young man who befriends a monster. Jane Levy is the movie’s female lead.
Whaley will play Till’s father, a man who’s been drifting from job to job since leaving his son a decade earlier. Glover’s character runs a junkyard.
