Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson’s latest movie, “From The Rough,” is in theaters now.

The sports drama is based on the true story of Catana Starks, the former Tennessee State University coach, who became the first woman to ever coach a college men’s golf team.

EURweb was on the scene at the “From The Rough,” premiere and talked to the stars about the film.

“I’m just blown away that I was chosen to carry this torch,” shared Henson. “Starks’s story inspired me. I moved out to L.A. with $700 in my pocket and my son. It is important to believe in yourself and to have faith.”

“Being on set is work, but why should it have to feel like work,” explained the actress. “Whenever I’m on set we are going to have lots of fun, we are going to laugh and go home early.”

 Robert Bailey Jr“It was a great time!” Expressed Robert Bailey Jr. “We have such a great cast. We had to bond as a team for the film, and we bonded as friends. It was like being away for a few months and getting to hang out with your friends.”

Ben Youcef“Taraji was always there for me. She treated me like an equal and with respect,” stated Ben Youcef. “We were staying at the same hotel and in the morning, me and Michael Clarke Duncan would work out together.

Henry Simmons“Michael Clarke Duncan brought warmth and humor to the script,” explained. “He was a person that loved life, I know everyone says that all the time, but you can tell. He shined. He was an incredible individual.”

Omarosa.“I’m here to support the love of my life Michael Clarke Duncan,” proclaimed Omarosa. “I think it is so important that people see this story and see his work. He was very proud of this project.”
