*While the world’s attention was focused on NBA commissioner Adam Silver, Oprah Winfrey was also in New York this afternoon …across town at the Teavana Fine Tea Bar promoting her new Teavana Oprah Chai Latte, which is now on sale at Starbucks across the U.S. and Canada.

Wearing a peacock blue wrap around dress and lemon yellow camisole, Winfrey literally toasted her latest endorsement with Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.

Developed by Oprah, described by her as “what tea should taste like,” and in collaboration with Teavana’s leading teaologist, a donation from every sale of the tea will go to support youth education for Oprah’s Leadership Academy Foundation.

A series of amusing “#OprahSelfie” snaps have found their way into social media in the last few days, which depict employees serving tea and coffee with the life sized Oprah posters strapped to their fronts to replace their own heads.

Oprah celebrated her first purchase of her namesake chai at a New York Starbucks store, and incidentally, her 1000th tweet, with the phrase: “Get your chai on!”

The tea, which contains 200 calories for a small latte version, is described as “a distinctive blend featuring a bold infusion of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves, blended with loose-leaf black tea and rooibo.”
