*Demonstrating class amid losing Game 5 to the San Antonio Spurs, Dwayne Wade displayed a unified front as he weighed in on the Miami Heat’s loss.
“Win or lose… These are my brothers… Plus 12 others that’s not pictures here. We win together as champions and lose together as champions. #HeadsHigh.” Wrote Wade, who included a picture of himself posing with fellow Heat superstars LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
Following her fiancée’s lead, Gabrielle Union carried Wade’s unity message with her as she took to Twitter to react to the Heat’s defeat.
“You win w/ dignity & you lose w/dignity. When the Heat won last year Spurs fans &players were kind and classy to the families and players. Never sink in the mid when things don’t go ur way. #LoveAndLigh.,” she tweeted. “#HeatNation stand up! Thank you for supporting the team, the organization & our families. We are grateful & humbled, so until next year… LETS GO HEAT!”
Wade and Union’s comments come after the Spurs beat the Heat 104-87 in game 5 of the NBA Finals to win the championship. History was also made as Kawhi Leonard became the youngest finals MVP since 1999 when Tim Duncan received the honor. Like Leonard, he was 20-years-old when he was honored.
