*Marsha Ambrosius really gets it.
The music video is supposed to tell a story; a story that pulls from the lyrics of the song and creates a visual the viewer can not only identify with, but encourages some sort of thought.
Her latest video for the beautiful ballad “Run” keeps in her recent tradition of linking social and emotional content within the framework of her video.
The pain in the lyrics is translated well by the actors we see in various scenes of emotional distress. Stripped down over a piano, Marsha delivers another powerful performance filled with vulnerability and the strength of renewal.
“Run” is the second release from Friends & Lovers, the follow-up to her critically acclaimed debut Late Nights & Early Mornings, which will be released on July 15th. The album features the Ne-Yo assisted “Without You”, as well as production from The Internz, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and more.
